Render of the Dining Room
Working with John Pawson and Christian Liaigre we created a set of images to show the design of an apartment in the new Holland Green development, as part of a client presentation. The plan was for the images to accompany the traditional methods of architectural presentation (eg. plans) and in particular express the materiality and lighting.
The presentation was in just over a weeks time, so there was no time to waste. John Pawson promptly sent us with a comprehensive design package, with referenecs for all surface finishes and architectural details, and Christian Liaigre provided a furniture schedule.
The first step was to create a 3D model of the interior shell, which was used to setup preliminary views and start a conversation regarding what was most important to show the client in the upcoming meeting. Next we added detail to the shell, applied surface finishes and placed the furniture – which was all modelled bespoke for this interior. Progress images were issued daily for everyone to review and provide feedback. This iterative process continued up until the night before the presentation, and the images were rendered overnight in time for printing.
We are pleased to say the presentation was a success and they are moving forward with the next stage of the project – and possibly more images.
