We were part of the team that included Weller Designs (golf course architects) and MSA (architects) for the Taymouth Castle Estate golf resort in Scotland. Whilst they were responsible for designing the project, we were there to help sell it and raise the necessary investment to move the project forward. This was a real estate-driven scheme, so the key was to showcase (and hopefully sell) the properties that were nestled in the landscape surrounding the golf course. Properties closer to the course often sell at a premium, so we focused our efforts on showing the location of each property and the views from key rooms overlooking the course. The developer didn’t substitute the plans of each house with our images, but instead chose to use them together. This meant they could communicate the layout while using our images to show the standard of finishes, what it’s like to be there, and most importantly the views.

The landscape modelling was definitely our favourite part of this project and we’re happy to say the client was delighted with the result. We studied site photos, satellite photography and survey data to create an accurate terrain and populated this with the correct plant species so the views of the golf course and properties were accurate simulations.
