It’s not often we get to work on a project that features two golf courses by different course designers – and one that also includes a ski resort. Marcella Club spans two locations in Utah: the ski resort at Deer Valley and the golf club at Jordanelle Ridge.
Each golf course has its own unique character, yet both share breathtaking 360-degree views of the Uinta Mountains and Heber Valley.
Skyline, is the first mountain course designed by Tiger Woods and his team at TGR Design, and features contrasting holes that play through intimate valleys and along dramatic ridgelines.
The second course, Ambush, is designed by course architects King Collins Dormer and situated on a mile-long ridgeline.
The golf club also features a clubhouse, short course, family center, racquet club, comfort station, pro shop, driving range and a state-of-the-art indoor/outdoor practice facility.
The ski resort at Deer Valley will be North America’s first new ski resort in over 40 years, featuring 6,800 acres of skiable terrain and a spectacular Lodge designed by Olson Kundig.
This was undoubtedly one of the most challenging projects we’ve been involved with, not only in bringing together so many different elements, but also in recreating the vast mountain landscapes that provide a dramatic backdrop for the visuals.
